For my Editorial photoshoot concept, I started off wanting to show a love story of a lesbian couple (Black and Hispanic) based in the 1940’s. However, it would be re-imagined with a modern twist. Being that I didn’t have enough time to find two models, I molded my concept into one. I wanted to choose a decade of fashion that I wasn’t too familiar with. I also happened to realize that I had some personal ties to the era while being a lesbian myself. To my concept into one, I took half of my outfits to create some feminine and masculine or androgynous looks. This would represent the idea of what it would be like as a lesbian trying to figure herself out and what makes her happy and comfortable during that time period.
